Avant Garde Flamenco Production

Further exploring the meaning and possibilities of New York specific flamenco in a theatrical setting.  Breaking and bending rules on how this traditional Spanish art form “should” be performed.  Adding multi-media, jazz, multi-ethnic and rock musical influences, as well as other dance styles (modern, tap, afro-cuban). 

Since its beginnings, flamenco has embraced and appropriated other music and dance styles, starting with Arab, gypsy, and Sephardic cultures and arriving into the modern day with jazz, rock and electronica.  We are continuing that spirit with FLAMENCO: inside/out.

We enlist other artists (live musicians, dancers, actors, audio visual artists) who are open to this exploration and collaboration to develop new, provocative material that asks the question:
